Any editing for me is in the dawĢ) I agree that generally you can get better results modifying an existing loop (that is well programmed or well played), moving the timing and adding/deleting some "notes". I can see how when you get into midi instruments it can open up a whole world of possibilities beyond "guitar playing".ġ) I never tried the standalone version of EZdrummer. Is this where midi editing would come in? So I could take an existing drum groove and move the components around instead of playing the virtual drums myself? Or possibly you can get really good at making grooves from scratch by varying the velocity and other parameters? To me it seems like it would be almost impossible to make drum loops from scratch that rivaled the existing ones because the existing drum loops are played with feel as opposed to being strictly quantized. But sometimes I want a drum part that is very specific. This never sounds nearly as good as using one of the existing drum loops and modifying the drum loop. I have experimented with making my own loops from scratch. In standalone mode it shows the midi file at the bottom but there is not a way to do specific midi editing right? You would do midi editing in your daw.right? Midi editing is new to me.Ģ.
